Key Rules for Any HVAC Resume

1. Name your systems
Don't say "HVAC systems." Say VAV, RTU, chiller, VRF, mini-split, package unit. Recruiters and ATS both need specifics.
2. Include project scale
Dollar value of projects, square footage, number of units. This tells a GC or mechanical contractor whether your experience matches their scope.
3. List every cert and license
EPA 608, NATE, OSHA 30, state license number. These are filters — if they're not on the resume, you get screened out before the phone call.
4. Safety record matters
Zero lost-time incidents, OSHA compliance, EMR — these carry significant weight with commercial contractors. If your record is clean, say so explicitly.
